Helsinki has been ranked as the world’s 2nd best start-up city for employees, right after Singapore.
According to Nestpick, one of the main reasons why professionals move to bigger cities is to work in a startup. To help those looking to work in startups decide where to apply, Nestpick compared 85 of the world’s most dynamic startup cities. The ranking was based on 5 different categories: startup ecosystem, salary, social security and benefits, cost of living, and quality of life.
As a result, Helsinki was ranked in the top 3 among all cities included in the study. In particular, Helsinki’s strengths are equality and the quality of living. The startup ecosystem and salaries in the city are clearly above average.
