Open position at Abomics: Inside Sales Manager

Abomics is growing internationally and we are seeking talented people to strengthen our team. In order to support Abomics’ success in the future we are filling a newly established position as:


Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for prospecting new business opportunities with hospitals, central laboratories and pharmacy chains. He/She will also coordinate e-commerce activities in order to support the B2C/B2B sales growth internationally. As a part of the Sales & Marketing team She/He will have a responsibility to nurture marketing generated sales leads further in our sales pipeline. The position will be in the Abomics’ Espoo office.

Your daily tasks will include for example email campaigns, cold calls, meeting arrangements and presentations to stakeholders. One of your objective is to make Abomics’ pharmacogenetic interpretation services widely known within the health care industry and clinical personnel who can utilize pharmacogenetics in their daily practice.

Inside Sales Manager duties will cover (with the help of Sales & Marketing team):

  • Nurturing sales-qualified leads into sales opportunities
  • Prospecting, growing and maintaining new business accounts (laboratories, pharmacy chains, pharmaceutical distributors, e-commerce platforms)
  • Identifying and partnering with stakeholders who have impact on Abomics’ business:
    • Healthcare decision makers (thought leaders, authorities), healthcare providers, physician networks/unions, insurance companies, pharmacies, central laboratories and hospitals
  • Organizing and completing administrative responsibilities related to the sales process and other related assignments
    • Meeting request management, CRM updates, follow-up mails etc.
  • Participating in customer meetings and seminars/EXPOs as a substance expert
  • Identifying suitable marketing events and managing company participations (trade shows, seminars, company events etc.)
  • Support to VBM (Value Based Marketing) activities

Skills and Experience we are seeking:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar level studies are required
    • Familiarity with pharmacogenetics, clinical laboratory, molecular genetics or genomics is considered an asset
  • Substance knowledge on the clinical or laboratory industry to drive business results and build relationships
  • Experience in consultative sales, direct sales, inside sales or VAR / channel sales
  • Familiarity with inbound marketing
  • Knowledge of the following tools
    • Pipedrive or HubSpot CRM
    • Social Media (FB, Twitter, LI, YT)
  • Understanding and interest in sales related software products and services
  • Systematic and careful approach towards professional tasks combined with strategic mindset and business acumen
  • Effective planning and organization skills
  • Willingness to travel max. 40 days per year
  • Team player personality and ability to work with colleagues and customers in an international environment
  • Fluent skills in English (oral and written) are mandatory, other language skills are considered useful
